Matt Cleere
Matt Cleere completed his B.S. in Conservation Biology from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry where he spent three months at the Cranberry Lake Biological Station in the Adirondacks. After moving to the United Kingdom, he received his Master of Research in Fungal Biology from the University of Nottingham focusing on pigment biosynthesis and DHN-melanin production in Penicillium roqueforti. Matt is an avid mycologist who enjoys hiking and all things music.
He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology.
Research Interests
Yeast and filamentous fungal biology; Saccharomyces cerevisiae-based LOV protein expression systems and the exploration cellular communication.
